Old Spice Scentopia Worlds was a dream project that comes along once in a decade. The work here is part of a 26 World mega creation for the Old Spice brand. It was a great collaborative project, designing a consistent, beautiful series of quirky little worlds that evoked a strong sense of scent, adventure, escapism and of course the tongue-in-cheek humour of the cool Old Spice brand.
We started off with lots of sketches and PS comps to get the designs right, roughing out landscapes first in CGI, eventually building up the detail, lighting and beauty in these little worlds using mostly CGI and a lot of stock and amazing retouching and whatever tricks we could find up our sleeves. The result was one of the most awesome jobs we have ever created (and we’ve done thousands) along with the loveliest, talented clients. Happy days!
