The brief for these visuals was to create avatars who actually look like they are out shopping, interacting with each other & their environments. Due to timing constraints we decided to create the avatar characters from CGI stock. We looked for characters that resembled themes from online games. Once we had selected the appropriate characters we modified & tailored their looks to create different scenarios & personalities, we also added rigging so the characters could be posed in each scene. After the poses & aesthetics were settled we rendered them into their environments with a bit of Photoshop finessing.
