Mercer Bell approached EA with this technically challenging brief. A number of CGI heads were created with different sized segments & gaps to give retouching some material from which to make the edges & corners of the segments. Photographer Stephen Stewart created the perfect lighting environment & shot a range of selected talent covering a variety of angles, poses & expressions. With a huge bank of captures to select from, the final challenge was getting the right balance of features & expressions that would ensure the final composition was both visually pleasing & recognisable as a single face.
